Giuseppe Marotta, the sporting director of Inter Milan, has expressed his disappointment with Milan Skriniar, the 28-year-old former Inter Milan player.

Milan Skriniar left Inter Milan without a transfer fee this summer to join Paris Saint-Germain. Giuseppe Marotta, the sporting director of Inter Milan, stated that he was deeply disappointed with the player’s behavior.

“A player who pretended to want an extension while thinking about something else… I felt enormous disappointment,” said the executive.

“When a player doesn’t extend, he is not going against his managers or the president, but against the history and value of the club. He harmed Inter, not the people. He could have extended; we offered him several solutions, including the option of setting a release clause that would protect both him and Inter’s requirements. But he always said no,” added Inter Milan’s sporting director.
