Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was targeted during the women’s match between PSG and Reims, which took place at Stade Léo Lagrange this Saturday afternoon.

The PSG vs. Reims match was abruptly halted as a result of incidents involving young individuals who had been denied entry and decided to retaliate by launching fireworks and petards onto the field. This led to the interruption of the match just a few minutes into the second half.

The club strongly condemns this situation, stating: “Following the incidents outside the stadium, the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Stade de Reims was definitively interrupted. The Competition Commission of the French Football Federation (FFF) will soon make a decision regarding the outcome of this match, which was part of the 4th round of the D1 Arkema.”

PSG clarified, “Paris Saint-Germain would like to emphasize that the incidents that led to the match being stopped were caused by individuals outside the stadium and not by any supporters of the club,” in a statement.
