PSG President, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, appears to be alarmed by the growing influence of Saudi Arabia in the world of football. He has reportedly taken steps to make other clubs aware of this new challenge.

Since Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr about a year ago, Saudi Arabia has become a major player in global football, attracting stars like Karim Benzema, Neymar, Riyad Mahrez, N’Golo Kanté, and Sadio Mané with lucrative financial offers. This situation has raised concerns in Europe.

According to reports from Bild, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, who is not only the PSG president but also the head of the European Clubs Association (ECA), and UEFA, have reached out to the leaders of European clubs to alert them to the potential threat posed by Saudi Arabia.

They are worried that this country might create a rival Super League to the UEFA Champions League, which could disrupt the balance of world football.
