Ernest Nuamah, a 19-year-old winger playing for Nordsjaelland, is set to join Olympique Lyonnais soon, despite interest from PSG.

PSG has been defeated, not on the field, but in this frenzied transfer window. Ernest Nuamah is heading to Lyon with his medical scheduled for Tuesday. The transfer will take the form of a loan with an obligatory purchase clause set at €23 million.

Olympique Lyonnais is thus securing the acquisition of a highly promising young talent, coveted not only in Europe but also by renowned clubs. Tottenham had attempted to secure Nuamah’s services, as had Paris Saint-Germain. However, PSG seems to have been outpaced in the race for his signature.

The speed with which Lyon reached an agreement might have played a role in Nuamah’s decision, potentially favoring a project that focuses more on the development of young players.
