French winger Ousmane Dembélé is set to officially join Paris Saint-Germain. During a press conference, FC Barcelona coach Xavi confirmed the imminent departure of the player.

Xavi is disappointed. The Spanish coach of Barcelona has just confirmed Ousmane Dembélé’s departure from the club. “He told us he wanted to leave, that he had an offer from PSG. It’s a personal decision,” said Xavi.

“I feel bad because we took good care of him, but he has this proposal and that’s why I didn’t play him. It’s the law of the market, we can’t compete with this offer, it’s beyond our reach, and I wish him all the happiness in the world because he has given us a lot,” said the Spanish coach.

“I’m naturally a bit disappointed, yes, but he told us he had spoken with Luis Enrique and Nasser Al Khelaïfi and there was no way to convince him,” Xavi added.

This announcement thus seals Dembélé’s transfer to PSG, which will soon be officially announced. The transfer fee is reported to be 50 million euros.
