This situation could offer Hugo Ekitike a great opportunity to prove himself and establish a stronger presence within PSG’s first team.
“Considering the offensive strengths currently present at PSG, especially with Mbappé’s potential departure by August 31st, Ekitike could have a role to play this season. He firmly believes in it. Even the arrival of attacking reinforcements does not seem prohibitive as the team lacks depth in this area,” writes L’Equipe.
“In their initial plan, PSG was looking for a winger (Bernardo Silva) and a striker around whom Mbappé could have operated (Harry Kane), but given the difficulties in securing these priorities – the Portuguese is retained by Manchester City and the Englishman gives priority to Bayern Munich – PSG will have to shift their focus to less high-profile targets.”
