PSG conducted a series of physical tests on several players on Monday, and Neymar’s results are said to be in line with the doctors’ expectations.

Neymar was present at the training session, which included a day of intensive physical tests. However, according to L’Equipe, the Brazilian may not be ready to immediately return to action.

These tests reportedly raised doubts about his ability “to be operational quickly.” Neymar suffered an injury to his right ankle in February and has been sidelined since then. He underwent surgery in March. PSG will inevitably learn more about his condition during the initial training sessions.

Julien Froment, a journalist for France Bleu Paris, has a slightly different version. Neymar is “on track” according to the tests conducted. He still needs to undergo a process of reconditioning, which will take some time before his return to competition, expected sometime in September. The upcoming days, especially the initial training sessions with the ball, will be closely monitored by PSG and their new facilities in Poissy.
